Outdoor Slippers for Him and Modern Mukluks for Her!

November 24, 2008, 6:06 pm

Timberland’s outdoor slippers for men are perfect for walking the dog in the snow…or just walking! They’re super-cozy, not to mention handsome. Mukluks for her have heavy duty made-for-Canadian-winters soles yet modernized to look cute!

Things that are worth the money. I’ve been thinki Things that are worth the money.

I’ve been thinking about this trend, and I realized none of my answers are really about buying more.
They’re about investing in the things that make my everyday life better.

✨ Your space. Home should be your sanctuary. It’s where you recharge, create, think and exhale.
✨ Services that come to you. My hair appointments, nails and tailor aren’t about indulgence - they’re about buying back time. When those things are taken care of, getting ready becomes effortless.
✨ The perfect-fitting pant. When you find one, buy it in multiples. You’ll wear them constantly, and it’s one less decision to make every morning.
✨ Great people. Whether it’s building my team at @nkpr.inc or surrounding myself with talented, kind people, I’ve learned that investing in people almost always delivers the greatest return.
✨ Morton’s salmon. @mortonssteak One of my favourite meals. And I’ve finally learned how to make it at home, so this one’s becoming a little less expensive. 😊
✨ Costes candles. @hotelcostes Every time I light one, I’m transported back to Paris. Some purchases aren’t about the object …they’re about the memories and the feeling they bring.
✨ My Row flip-flops. @therow I practically live in them. Ironically, buying one pair I truly love has probably saved me money because I stopped buying shoes I rarely wore.

It’s about the things that genuinely improve my everyday life.
For me, that’s what makes something worth the money.
Because it saves time, brings joy, or simply makes life a little better.

What’s on your list? 🖤

There’s one phrase I’ve spent years questioning: w There’s one phrase I’ve spent years questioning: work-life balance.

I believe it’s one of the biggest misconceptions we’ve been sold. We’re told we should be able to do it all, give everything equal attention, and somehow make it all look effortless.

In my latest Substack, The Lie Women Keep Chasing, I share why I stopped pursuing balance long ago and why I believe work-life integration, alignment, purpose, and protecting your energy are far more meaningful goals.

I’d love to know: have you ever felt like you were chasing a version of balance that was never really possible? 🖤

Last year’s @artistsforpeace was a beautiful remin Last year’s @artistsforpeace was a beautiful reminder of what is possible when a community comes together with one shared purpose: creating opportunity through education.
As we prepare for our 18th Annual Artists for Peace and Justice Gala, I find myself reflecting on why this night means so much to me. It is, without question, one of the most meaningful moments of my year.

For the past 18 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as Chair of Artists for Peace and Justice, supporting an organization that believes every child deserves the chance to learn, dream and build a future. In Haiti, where nearly 70% of children do not continue beyond Grade 5, education is not simply about the classroom. It is about hope, dignity and the opportunity to build a life filled with possibility.

Together, we have helped provide access to education for more than 32,000 students and raised over $36 million to support this mission.
None of this would be possible without our incredible APJ Board, our APJ family and friends, our generous sponsor partners, our dedicated volunteers, and every person who continues to show up for this cause year after year. Your belief in this mission has changed thousands of lives.

#APJ is a 100% volunteer-led organization, which means every dollar raised through this event goes directly back to supporting education in Haiti. That is incredibly rare, and it is why every person in the room has the power to help create opportunities that will last for generations.

This year’s gala takes place on September 13 at the @windsorarms Hotel during the Toronto International Film Festival. It will be an intimate evening of extraordinary performances, powerful storytelling and a community united by the belief that, even in the face of extraordinary challenges, education gives young people the opportunity to rewrite their future and, ultimately, the future of their country.

There are a limited number of tickets available. If you’d like to join us for this incredibly special evening and learn more about the impact we’re creating together, please send me a DM.
