Spring ’09 from Canadian fashion house, RUDSAK.
October 23rd marked the debut of Spring ’09 from Canadian fashion house, RUDSAK. Coming to life at L’Oreal Fashion Week in Toronto, the collection dubbed Slave to the Rhythm was undoubtedly inspired by Rock N Roll, on a runway hit with fierce leathers and sizeable hard metals. But RUDSAK designer, Evik Asatoorian, adds a nautical touch and just the right measure of femininity to dilute the hardness and make it haute. The palette is spring classic in black, white and camel with a pop of deep magenta. Many pieces are unisex; the men’s silhouette tailored with broad shoulders. Our favourite pieces include his and hers white leather cigarette pants, the leather interpretation of a black and white fedora, and rocker-chic-for-summer white driving gloves. Vroom vroom.
