What does it really cost to be “always on”? We’re What does it really cost to be “always on”?

We’re back for Season 4 of @dontjusttalksaysomething, and @tarynincanada and I are kicking things off with one of the most in-demand content creators in the industry, @LivJudd.

This is only the second podcast Liv has ever done - and she was incredibly candid about the work behind the content we consume every day.

For most of us, 12 hours of screen time would be a warning. For Liv, it can be a workday.

In our first episode, “The Visibility Lens,” we talk about what it means when your phone is your office, your creativity is your business, and the demand for new content never really stops.

We unpack the strategy behind content that appears effortless, the pressure to keep creating and stay connected, and what happens when the line between your personal and professional life almost disappears.

Because visibility can create extraordinary opportunities - but it also comes with a cost we don’t always see.

This is only a one-minute glimpse into a much bigger and very honest conversation.

The full episode of Don’t Just Talk, Say Something is now available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and all major podcast platforms. Head to the link in our bio to watch or listen. 🎙️🖤

Are we in a work ethic crisis? That’s the questio Are we in a work ethic crisis?

That’s the question behind my latest Substack, where I take a closer look at work ethic, purpose and why doing something exceptionally HAS TO matter.

It also got me thinking about the books that have shaped how I think about purpose, discipline, growth and excellence. 📚

So I pulled together 13 books that have stayed with me and influenced how I show up, both personally and professionally.

Some are about work. Some are about purpose. All have something to say about becoming the best you you can be for yourself and for those around you.

Swipe through and let me know which one you’d add to your reading list!👇

What does it mean to build a community? 🤔🏡 A deve What does it mean to build a community? 🤔🏡

A development may start with homes and infrastructure, but a true community is built through people, connection and a shared sense of belonging.

When @nkpr.inc first started working with @dbsdevelopments, the @BelaSquareApartments community was at a very different stage. 94 Eastdale Ave was newly leased, while 100 Eastdale was still under construction. Today, the new high-rise residences are leasing and more residents are becoming part of the community.

What I’ve always admired about #DBSDevelopments is that they understand building a community is about more than the buildings themselves. It also means investing in the neighbourhood and the people who make it what it is.

As Bela Square continued to evolve, we saw an opportunity to bring new and existing residents together while spotlighting the local businesses that help make the neighbourhood special. That idea became the inaugural DBS Summer Market at Secord Park—a place for people to connect and for local businesses to be seen, supported and celebrated. 🖤

We were also pleased to welcome @bradfordgrams, Toronto City Councillor for Ward 19, Beaches–East York, and a current candidate for Mayor of Toronto. He spent time experiencing the market and meeting the local businesses and residents who make the neighbourhood so special.

For me, the work doesn’t end when construction does. It continues by creating opportunities for people to connect, supporting the local businesses that make a neighbourhood special and investing in its future as it grows and evolves.

Because ultimately, the best developments don’t just change a skyline. They become part of the fabric of a neighbourhood. 🏙️🖤
