With all the conversations happening around AI lat With all the conversations happening around AI lately, one campaign really caught my attention.

Because it was unapologetically human. 🖤

@polaroid’s latest campaign isn’t trying to convince us that technology is the enemy. Instead, it asks a much more interesting question:
What happens when we spend so much time documenting life that we forget to actually live it?

As someone who has spent more than two decades building brands, I don’t see this as a camera campaign.
I see it as a masterclass in positioning.

While many brands are racing to prove how innovative they are with AI, Polaroid chose to own something far more powerful: human connection.

Their billboards weren’t trying to sell a camera first.
They were selling a truth people already felt - but hadn’t seen reflected back to them.
A reminder that some of life’s most meaningful moments can’t be generated, optimized, or prompted.

That’s what the best brands do.  They tap into what people are feeling and give it a voice. The future of marketing isn’t about choosing between AI and creativity.
It’s about knowing where each belongs.
AI can make us faster.
But empathy.
Taste.
Instinct.
Curiosity.
Cultural intelligence.
Those remain profoundly human.

The brands that stand out won’t be the ones using AI the most.
They’ll be the ones using it without losing what makes them worth remembering.

What’s the most memorable brand campaign you’ve seen this year—and why did it stay with you?

Some of the most meaningful businesses don’t begin Some of the most meaningful businesses don’t begin with a business plan. They begin with someone’s lived experience. 🖤

This week, I’m so proud to celebrate the launch of @piccandcozy, a female-founded Canadian brand created by three incredible entrepreneurs who turned one family’s journey into something that will help thousands of others. What started as a mother’s determination to make her daughter more comfortable during cancer treatment has become an adaptive clothing brand designed to bring comfort, dignity and ease to PICC line patients of all ages.

Stories like this remind me why I love what I do. Women continue to build businesses that solve real problems, create meaningful impact and lead with purpose. Diane Monaco @33bellavita33, alongside Amanda and Tanya Paul, didn’t just identify a gap. They created a solution and built a brand that gives back, with every purchase supporting @Sickkidstoronto Hospital.

Congratulations to Diane, Amanda and Tanya on bringing this vision to life. Here’s to women building businesses that make a difference, one thoughtful idea at a time. 🖤

The greatest privilege isn’t reaching the next level. It’s helping someone else believe they can too. 🖤

There are moments when you look around the city an There are moments when you look around the city and think, this is why I love Toronto. 🖤✨
June felt like one of those months.

In just a few short weeks, @Blooryorkville became a stage for some of the city’s most memorable moments. We welcomed @Niallhoran for an intimate fan experience at the @powderroomyorkville, bringing  music lovers together from across the country. We watched Soccer Fest transform the neighbourhood into a celebration of the world’s game as excitement for FIFA World Cup 2026™ continues to build across Toronto. ⚽🌎

Then came Father’s Day weekend, when Bloor Street was filled with more than 250,000 visitors for the 16th annual Yorkville Exotic Car Show. Beyond the incredible cars, what stood out most was the impact. Together, the Yorkville Exotic Car Show community raised more than $265,000 in support of @melanomacanada, demonstrating the power of bringing people together around a meaningful cause. ❤️

Congratulations as well to @Ricknk, who was honoured with the Yorkville Exotic Car Show Lifetime Achievement Award. 🏎️❤️We have had the privilege of working alongside Rick for more than 20 years at @nkpr.inc, he is truly deserving of this recognition. His passion, dedication and commitment have helped shape this event into the iconic Toronto tradition it is today.

As June continued, the @torontojazzfest brought its signature energy back to the neighbourhood, filling parks, patios, and streets with music and reminding us why summer in Toronto is unlike anywhere else. 🎷✨

What I love most about Bloor-Yorkville after nearly two decades of working together is its ability to create experiences that bring people together. Whether through music, sport, culture, philanthropy, or community, it continues to find new ways to make the city feel vibrant.

If June was any indication, Toronto is in for an incredible summer. ☀️❤️
