This #FashionFriday feels a little different… i’d This #FashionFriday feels a little different… i’d love to hear your thoughts 🖤

The Met Gala recently announced its next exhibition honoring John Galliano. Anna Wintour said his career should not be defined by one moment, and that the darker chapters of his past would be addressed as part of the exhibition.

I have to admit... I was surprised.

In 2011, @jgalliano’s career imploded after video surfaced of him making antisemitic remarks at a café in Paris. In the footage, he praised Hitler and told two women he believed were Jewish that people like them “would have been gassed.” At the time, he was the creative director of Dior and was dismissed almost immediately.

I remember making a conscious decision to give away every Galliano piece I owned. For me, it wasn’t about fashion anymore. It was about values.

Fifteen years later, one of the most influential institutions in fashion is celebrating his work. That doesn’t just say something about John Galliano. It says something about us. About the industries we build. About the standards we choose to uphold.

I don’t believe in permanent cancellation. I believe people can change. I believe redemption is possible. But redemption isn’t something that simply arrives with the passage of time or because someone is exceptionally talented. It requires accountability. Reflection. Growth. And while institutions can choose to celebrate someone’s work, they don’t get to decide how everyone else should feel about it.

Which brings me back to the question I’ve been thinking about ever since this exhibition was announced:
Does extraordinary talent outweigh extraordinary harm?

Because talent should absolutely be celebrated.
But character should still matter.

I’d genuinely love to hear what you think ⬇️

What if coming home felt like checking into a priv What if coming home felt like checking into a private resort? 🌿✨

I’ve always believed that true luxury is having room to breathe, feeling connected to nature and knowing that your home can continue to support the life you want to build.

That’s what stood out to me about @theguptagroup’s newly redesigned vision for Yonge City Square.

The first new condominium in Toronto’s Hoggs Hollow neighbourhood in more than 20 years, Yonge City Square is set alongside the Don Valley Golf Course, surrounded by lush ravine views, and seamlessly connected to the city through direct subway access. It’s a rare combination that brings together the calm of nature with the convenience of urban living.

What I find most meaningful is the thinking behind the new vision. To meet the lifestyle demand for larger, livable residences, The Gupta Group redesigned the project to reduce the planned number of residences from 700 to 500 units.

To me, this is what thoughtful development looks like: not simply building for today, but creating homes where people can truly put down roots.

Proud to work alongside a client partner that continues to listen, evolve and respond to how people want to live. 🌿

No one talks enough about the quiet side of ambiti No one talks enough about the quiet side of ambition.

We live in a world that often celebrates the loudest voice in the room. But what if that’s not you?

The truth is, you can be deeply ambitious and deeply introverted.

You don’t have to become louder.
You don’t have to become more social.
You don’t have to become someone you’re not.

The secret isn’t becoming more extroverted. It’s becoming more intentional about where you invest your energy.

Over the last two decades of building a successful business in one of the world’s most people-facing industries, I’ve learned that relationships have been one of the greatest drivers of my career. I’ve always valued depth, loyalty and aligned values.

I’ve learned that high performance isn’t just about managing time.
It’s about managing energy and discernment.

That’s what my newest Substack, The Quiet Side of Ambition, is about.

If you’ve ever wondered whether you can build a meaningful, ambitious life without compromising who you are, I wrote this for you.

A new essay on Substack… go to link in bio for more.
