What will you try from Thompson Diner’s New Menu?
Everybody loves a good Diner! The Thompson Hotel downtown TO recently reinvented their menu and we’re obsessed! There’s an overwhelming amount of mouthwatering dishes available- you’ll probably want to book off the afternoon just to try it all. We recently made a visit ourselves and came up with a list of some of our favourites:
If you want to start with a bang, you gotta try the Thompson’s Chicken and Waffles! The chicken is juicy, the waffle is homemade, and you can glaze it in amazing maple syrup- it’s revolutionary.
How could you even follow that performance? One of the crowning jewels is the Truffle Mac n’ Cheese! It’s truly a must-have, you will NEVER regret the oozy provolone and mozzarella, the hint of cheddar and the drizzle of truffle oil.
Next up is the classicly delicious Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup! It’s the perfect comfort food for rainy cold days… or just everyday!
If you need a breakfast that will hold you over, definitely try the Huevos Rancheros! With crispy tostadas, black beans, queso fresco, pickled fresnos, salsa ranchera, and a bit of cilantro, it’s a great start to the day.
Love fries? Love them loaded? Get the Thompson’s All-Star Fries with beef and bean chili, beer cheese fondue, bacon, and ranch dressing. I know, it sounds amazing, and yes, you will want to try them!
If all you need is a little snack, something on the side, or something to share, order the Hummus with za’atar, soft pitas, and olive oil. You can also choose to add spicy lamb or charred eggplant!
Need the perfect drink to compliment the perfect meal? There’s something for every palate. Grab a Bloody Caesar before dinner or a Mimosa with your brunch! Need to wake up a bit or a doze of sweetness? The Thompson Diner has incredible coffee, hot chocolate, and of course, milkshakes! It wouldn’t be a diner without milkshakes, would it?
