Why spend on a holiday abroad when Thompson Toronto has everything you need to plan the perfect stay-cation? On April 1st, NKPR invited ten lifestyle influencers to experience the hotel’s trademark refined edge, and sample the vibrancy of the hotel’s Entertainment Complex for the #ThompsonTakeover stay-cation experience.

Featured venues included:

The Rooftop Lounge – the premier rooftop lounge in the city with breathtaking 360-degree city and lake views.

The Lobby Bar – freshly redesigned in 2016, featuring dramatic lighting, modern art and weekly live music delivering a warm, intimate atmosphere for meeting friends and sharing drinks.

The Thompson Diner – A local institution using the façade of a heritage auto shop, this contemporary interpretation of a classic diner brings all-hours modern tastes to hungry diners!

Colette Grand Café – managed by Chase Hospitality, Colette is a Parisian style dining experience, with dining room and bakery menu options.

Wildflower Lounge – a true dancer’s paradise, with an exquisite sound system, an electric roster of premium DJs and VIP service.

Guests got to experience a cocktail class with Thompson’s Head Bartender Chris McCrabb, including tasting a $1000 bottle of wine and $120 margarita in the Lobby Bar’s private event space, “The Front Room”.  After cocktails and charcuterie, guests were escorted to Thompson’s famous Rooftop Lounge for a sushi making class with Thompson’s Executive Chef Kevin Sinclair, which was paired with “Taste of Thompson” – a menu tasting featuring the best of the Entertainment Complex’s dining offerings.
