Another amazing Toronto Fashion Week has come and gone. Taking place once again at its new home in David Pecault Square, the downtown core was a constant buzz of excitement as incredible Canadian talent and Toronto’s finest gathered to debut and take in the Spring Summer 1016 collections.

We rounded up some of our favourite looks from the SS16 runway… Read on!

Sid Neigum

At just 27 years old, this Alberta-born designer is making waves on the fashion scene. After winning last year’s Mercedes Benz Start-Up Award, Sig Neigum returned to World MasterCard Fashion Week (WMCFW), debuting his Spring Summer 2016 collection on day one at David Pecault Square. The collection, a decided departure from his signature monochromatic aesthetic, incorporated stunning sculptural silhouettes in dramatic blues, military greens, blacks and whites.

Mikhael Kale

Always a favourite at WMCFW, Mikhael Kale’s Spring Summer 2016 collection did not disappoint! From hand-sewn pearls to beaded embellishment and floral embroidery, it was all about the details. High slits and shoulder cutouts added to Kale’s signature wow factor, while slicked back hair and dewy makeup let the clothes take centre stage.

Sisters Parris and Chloe Gordon debuted the Beaufille Spring Summer 2016 collection on day three of WMCFW. The chic and effortless collection had a distinct 70’s feel, from the cropped flares, modern crochet detailing and burnt orange and rich brown hues. Silver cut-out ring details and the use of high-tech materials added a futuristic cool factor to this beautiful debut.
